2011: The year of MeeGo devices

Oh wooopy doo. Another one. I am not saying competition is not a good thing.....but really now....why dont they just bring out devices with the proven Android OS?

Kinda related thought: Who is going to manufacture "Granny Friendly" phones? I always figured that Nokia, with it's strength of familiar design and standards (dating back several years), would be the champion of that cause.

That is why Vodacom has got the ZTE S306 Elderly phones with massive keys and big font. It is aimed at older people. Can phone and sms...and thats about it.

I think Nokia should at least entertain the possibility of having an Android device. Samsung have their Bada OS, but they still have Android devices (sort of covering all your bases).

Android is like doggypoop when you compare it to Maemo/Meego. Just like iOS is *nix based but heavily locked down, so is Andriod.

Soon N900 users will be able to dual boot Meego along side Maemo (and hacked Andriod) on their devices.

I've got an N900 (if anyone is looking for one). Maemo is awesome, Id rather have a fully Linux phone at my disposal than an Andriod. If only the apps were as cool.

MeeGo on a tablet - that may be an interesting combination, but then again, you could just load Ubuntu.
