e.Mobile free-to-air service launched

Do these cellphones connect to a computer monitor? If not then I'm not interested.

Interesting... so we need to have "TV enabled" phones to watch this, rather than being able to stream over a data connection?

I'm sure the mobile operators will find some way to charge us!!

It has nothing to do with the mobile network. The only reason cellphones are involved at all is because some are capable of receiving a DVB-H signal.

NOT SURE ABOUT THIS

I have no idea what these phones do BUT i can't imagine that there would be any way to allow the signal to be shared on a monitor or tv out or provide you with the ability to ustream it via wifi/3g. This seems like a push to change the game before the game gets here. IPTV is the new world order, yay :).

I sense a huge fail on the horizon soon. Cell phone capable of this will require a tv liecense and soon. Or else why bother with the tv at home, sure it has a bigger screen, but you have to pay for that crap that gets aired! If you are single, stay is a small place , cant afford the tv payments and tv liecense fees, it might just be an option to rather get a cellphone. Tv liecenses for cell phones... This is Africa... It might just happen.
