42 Mbps HSPA+ in South Africa: Good progress made

I'm still waiting for 21Mbps to work properly. Currently, I'm lucky to see anything north of 6Mbps and I suspect that this is an infrastructure issue rather than a signal issue.
 
How interesting, hopefully 21Mbps will be running much better when 42Mbps is completed.

I really want to see lower charges per Gb. I have ADSL for all my bulky downloads, I need my 3G only for work related internet searches, and email, but the per Gb is still too expensive.
 
Wow so I can enjoy the internet for a few minutes at high speed at the beginning of the month and then I have to wait for the next month when my new cap kicks in. Yay I am looking forward to this blowing you low cap in a few minutes
 
When will Helkom be inspired by all these massive develeopments in the speed arena?
 
I think "Helkom" needs a CEO before they start planning ****
 
Sad that wireless technologies in SA are so much more superior than wired.
 
How on earth can we ever get the following message across: "We need AFFORDABLE broadband at a decent speed, not UNAFFORDABLE broadband at lightning speeds"
 
Why is there always so many people complaining about how fast they will reach their cap? at the end of the day if u spend a month to finish a 5 gig data bundle or finish it it in a day, the fact remains is that u finished the darn thing, higher speeds is always welcome but a drop in prices will always be appreciated.
 
I just don't see the point to having such a fast internet connection but no data to use it with. Mobile data costs an arm and a leg so why would we want more speed? I would rather have a 14mb connection with more data at the same price than a faster network with the same data bundle which will most likely cost more due to the new network. Just doesn't make sense. In the UK, Vodafone's 3G card at 7.2 mbps is uncapped so why not have that down here as well.

Aye, I'll never understand South Africa.
