Wanted: Jozi Friends

Hi y'all!

My name is Sarika. I've been living in Jozi (Sandton) for about a year now, and I love it, i just can't seem to make any good friends here. Thought I'd meet people at work, but ended up working for a small company.

I'm originally from the Lowveld but for the last few years was living in Upington.
I'm a media designer, and I'm interested in web development as well. I have a good sense of humour. I like music, most genres, but I LOVE rock and small doses of metal. I like movies, and shopping (I'm a girl after all :p).

I'm looking for some girl friends (afr or eng) to hang out with, I'm not a 'raver' and I don't smoke or drink.

So if you think we can be friends, and you live in the Joburg area, please PM me, and maybe we can arrange to meet some time :).

If you are the church going type of person, then find a good church to get involved with. You will meet lots of nice people and get involved in community projects and stuff.
 
You need to seriously spend less time on the internet. Do you want facebook friends or real friends?

What do you look like, what car do you drive, where do you work, how much money do you earn?

Based on the above I'm sure we can find you a clique to fit into.

I must admit I find the crowd up there a bit weird though, things seem a bit materialistic and it's me,me,me but then again I have not spent much time there so my perspective is probably skewed.

nope you quite right i must say.you just had me thinking about all my friends etc and they just LOVE talking about themselves :eek:

Came where? I left Joburg, you simian.

And I had loads of female friends in Jhb. Women are much friendlier there than in CT :p
 
people just remember when meeting one person to bring along another friend or two just for security sake - if you end up alone with this person it could be hell on earth - Please don't flame me - this is just being street smart - Just a tip of the day.

Sarika, your main problem is that you are looking on the internet for girls. It doesn't work like that.

That may be true in a general sort of way, but I find people in Joburg are more independent, open and honest than most places.

Also, a lot less cliquish. Or at least its easier to get into a clique than elsewhere.
