Fujitsu unveils high-end Lifebook P771 notebook

18hrs battery life? sounds my kind of thing

Looks like win.. one day charging your battery will be an annual at this rate. :)

Wow!

What does this mean? When I switch off my toaster, it also does not use any electricity? And that 0-Watt? Is that like my broken toaster that went from a 1500W to a 0W?

I guess they refer to standby power consumption. Most PSUs sap some power from the plug if it plugged in to the mains, but not into the laptop...

Alos, how much will this thing cost? I payed 8k for my laptop with a second gen i7 and a GT540M. Unless it can beat those specs and smash that price, it shouldn't be considered high end

If the Data-Sheet (with compliments from Google) is anything to go by, a Core i7 accompanied by a choice of other specifications seems pretty good. Together with exceptional expected battery runtime this may well be worth a good "look-at".

I've had many Fujitsu laptops in my time and find them to be very decent machines...

Yeah Im sure that the 18 hour battery life is only if it's idling and nothings happening. If not, I take my hat off to them, 18h of normal use would be great! :D
