DStv Mobile Drifta support for BlackBerry still in the works

"Symbian S60" is incorrect. I have a Nokia 5800, and it is clearly noted as unsupported. The N8, however, is listed on the DSTVMobile site as supported - but it runs Symbian^3 (otherwise known as Symbian), not S60.

Android - they really could not care... Note that there is abolutely no feedback on any of their forums regarding the Android app.

Symbian^3 is a version of S60 platform, if I understand correctly. But thanks for the correction on the Nokia 5800. Interestingly there seems to be (according to the website) support for Nokia smartphones with other DStv dongles in other countries.

Thanks, Jan. Symbian^3 has totally different underpinnings to S60, to the point where apps that are written specifically for ^3 don't work on S60 (although ^3 does run S60 apps).

EDIT:
Interesting how some of the N-series phones are supported, and not others.

so people can watch it their 8520 curves. android is nowhere but most tablets are running android. truly NoChoice.

Found the application on OVI store:

Mobile TV turns your phone into a portable television. It receives broadcast DVB-H signal via the Nokia Mobile TV Headset. It supports features like electronic service guides, subscription management and parental control. Before installing this application, please ensure you have a Nokia Mobile TV Headset DVB-H (available at your Nokia retailer or the Nokia online shop) and the DVB-H network coverage. The SIS package support N8 PR1.1/ C7 PR1.1/ E7 PR1.0/ C6-01 PR1.0 onwards. JSR-272 compatible.

Why anyone would want to buy this crap is beyond me. The image quality is appalling, even on a small screen. And then there's the programming...

I got my Drifta last week and works great.

Only problem is that the call centre employee (and Call Centre Manager) told me that the R36 premiums will be charged to DSTV Premium subscribers from 1st April 2012. No where on the website or in any other press release have I seen this to date.

Not sure if Multichoice is being 100% transparent with the costs in order to sign members up, or if the call centre employees know whats going on.
