Telkom ADSL speed upgrade details

Telkom please upgrade my two 4Mbps lines to 10Mbps. I only live 800m from the exchange. Thank you in advance.
 
Excuse me, but did not the add says after the world cup there will be plenty off bandwidth, etc.
 
Ja ja ja, so tired of reading all these speed upgrade stories. It's been so long and still waiting on my 10meg line which I've basically given up hope on. Heck, I can still only get G.dmt modulation

384 upgrade to 1Mb would make sense

4Mb to burst up to where your line conditions allow would be cool;

Does your line support Self Install?
 
I called Telkom today to find out about my exchange and 10Mb as they did maintenance on the Umhlanga Rocks exchange last night and I was hoping I might be able to get the speed upgrade.
Oh my.
The guy I spoke to was the biggest ass I've ever had to speak with.

He told me that I will know when I have 10Mb as they will call me to tell me about it, even though my ADSL line doesn't have a phone attached to it ofcourse. When I asked him why my friends have 10Mb and I dont he said I must give him their numbers so he can verify they have 10Mb as Durban doesn't have 10Mb available yet and they are lying to me.

I just hang up. I really cannot believe the **** one has to deal with in this country.

lol cry them a river. Some people cannot get water and electricity from government, which are basic services. You cant get 10mb adsl from a private company, and your throwing your toys out of your cot.

This is SA. Give it time and continue placing pressure on their competitors. You cant blame telkom for having no competition. Their job is not to make SA a better place for all who live in it. Their job is to make a crap load a money.

384k really needs a boost now, it is embarrassing for what they charge.
 
Thank you Telkom. I've been on 1024k for almost 3 weeks now... Though my ISP found a way to playing tricks. Apparently the KnightRider period has been reduced. :(
 
This means that Telkom now has no excuse for not re-branding 384 from "Fast DSL up to 384kbps" to "Slower than garden snails on a salty path to oblivion".
