Cell C launches South Arican urban dictionary website

I actually think this is a pretty good idea. Whether anyone will actually use it is another story.
 
what on earth is "mathematics" doing on that list???? I have never heard that in a conversation...
 
How the hell is squiff in the top ten? First time I heard of it.
 
Moderation on the site is terrible.
A few words have slipped through where the meaning is completely incorrect.
 
They need to add "charna" bru, so those of us who klapping it can spread the slang we use while slaying the blonde belters online hey. That'd be kiff hey charnas? Then everyone can klap gym boet. :D

Neither have I. I wonder how the top ten list is determined, I don't see any voting function on the site. Based on number the number of views maybe?
 
Still early days. I'm sure "Mathematics" will get voted right down to the bottom. Probably a group of geeky nerds (from MyBB?) voted for that one.

I don't think there's any voting there. It seems "words" that get the most views are the most popular. Mathematics doesn't make sense, so generally everyone will click on it :p

Well according to the article, there is definitely voting. It's mentioned in both the 1st and 2nd sentences. How could you miss it? :p

Then it's probably Facebook Like and Twitter that counts as votes, because on the site itself I see no voting options :p
 
That's where the rest of CellC's stuff is hosted...

Have they seen whats actually on the original urban dictionary???
 
Who ever put mathematics on the list knew that everyone who comeo across the word will stop and and would want to know what it means. That would explain why it is on the top list.
