New Vodacom broadband pricing revealed

I recharge R70 prepaid airtime and get 70 sms and 700mb FREE to use within a week. Nothing comes close at all. Thank-you CellC.
 
Let's see, Vodacom give me 100mb for R49, and 500mb for R149.

Cell C give me 500mb, 50SMS'es, 50 anytime Cell-C to Cell-C minutes AND R50 airtime for R50.

Also a bit disappointed... but still a drop. Also since it is not a promotional offer longer term planning can be done.

Maybe some day we will also get FTTH and experience the internet as consumers in other countries do.
 
I know we're supposed to be grateful for any kind of price drops, because it's a step in the right direction, but it's kind of an insult to be the LAST to drop your prices and still be the most expensive. Bad show.

MyGig 5 @ R789pm vs R166pm for Cell-C (R1999 pre paid 60G/12) is 4.75x more than Cell-C
MyGig 10 @ R1,449pm vs R199pm for 8ta 7.3x more than 8ta
MyGig 10 @ R1,449pm vs R899pm for MTN 1.6x more than MTN (Broadband Pro)

Do VodaCom even know what's the competition is doing?
 
I know this is not apples vs apples... but:

Vodacom 10GB: R 1449 :cry:

8ta 10GB: R 199.00 (promo, 24 month contract) :D

So what if you got to sign up for 24 months... you score big time! Jannie, you and I both know VC is in for a rough ride on the mobile data contracts in the next 12 to 18 months! These prices aren't going to attract any customer loyalty!
 
R249/Gig? C'mon it's mid 2011 how long are they going to murder us for our money? I've lost all hope.
