Samsung and Apple Tablet PC row heats up

On the subject, how is this for prior art, a tablet idea thats erm 17 YEARS OLD

Edit: I must admit, after watching the vid now, its amazing how they viewed the future back then and how much of that is the norm today. Esp looking at http://www.feedly.com/ and http://flipboard.com/ even the form factor looks a hell of a lot like the Xoom, well I guess its closer to any Android tablet vs iOS one.

After reading this article, I know just as much as I did before reading it.

What patents are being argued over or infringed upon?

I think I read somewhere it has something to do the the graphic layout and the icons used. I Think:)

Apparently Apple 'shopped the pics of the Galaxy they submitted to the court as evidence in order to make it look more like the iPad. Scumbags.

Wish I could get a copy of that old show Beyond 2000 to see how far off they were.
 
The really sickening thing is that even if Apple is in the wrong, the time that Samsung loses selling their tablet is costing them millions. Even if Apple is fined, it is nothing for them compared to the losses incurred by Samsung.

The loss clause is already built into the suite. If Apple lose the case they will have to cover the losses. But worse is if they lose the case it will be open season on the Apple form factor.

Even if they countersue and win, the market-loss is significant.
People that might want to buy Samsung Tab, might opt for an iPad instead.
That means that they lose revenue throughout the entire tablet's lifespan through apps, accesories, repairs etc.
