We need to be able to go onto different sites and update Windows machines running anything from XP Pro, Win 7, Server 2003 or Server 2008. If we use a normal USB modem we would need to install the modem SW 1st so I was thinking about a a device that was SW independent.

I figured either a wireless device (like a MiFi) and then i can just plug in a wireless USB stick (yes i know it will still need drivers but much easier than Hauwei SW) or otherwise a router with an Ethernet port.

Has anyone got any bright ideas?

Please can you also suggest places to buy as the only devices i can find are the Hauwei Router from MTN or the Vodafone R201. Anyone tried these? What are they like?

Dovado UMR. Plug USB modem into back of UMR. It shares it on WLAN and 4ethernet ports.

I got my one way back for like R200. No idea what they cost now :/
