Apple iPhone 4S arrives

Lol..What.An.Anti.Climax. No fear though, consumerism will rule the day and a million will be sold in the first day for bragging rights to having a faster processor and battery life. Meanwhile, the true features come in the form of IOS5 which are available to previous gen Iphones as well. Madness.
 
Fairly big update to the internals and in some ways software as well, but sadly the lack of a redesign and a bigger screen might see many going over to android (especially something like the rumored nexus prime).

Siri is really the coolest part i would say.
 
Would've thought the new phone would at least surpass the Galaxy S2 which came out months ago.

Siri is the sort of thing you use to impress friends, and for occasionally in the car. Very disappointed.
 
No bigger screen?! Or am I missing something?

Not impressed. Giving my phone verbal instructions is not cool. Faster graphics on such a small screen? To do what exactly?

In my books Apple disappointed big time today. It is going to show in sales in the next year (unless the iPhone 5 hits early in 2012).

Have that now on my Desire well not exactly like the new iPhone system but can tell it to call people and search things, to be honest I rather use buttons, esp when around people, no need to tell the world when I have a meeting or who I am calling.
 
haha, well the Nexus Prime with ice-cream sandwidch and its 720P 4.6 inch screen is getting announced 3 days before the iPhone 4s goes on sale. So yeah, i suspect some will jump ship.

What i do find odd though is the release cycle of the device internals. They release an iPad with the new processor, and nearly a year later they put it into a phone. Kinda sucks really, they need to figure out a way to get the two products a little closer so we don't suffer the annual let down of seeing all the specs way before the iPhone announcement. At this point the A5 is old news, which means the only thing which would please us is a body redesign. Surely they won't want to change the bodies ever year, which mean every second year the iPhone announcement is going to be a let down.

Exactly. Talking to a phone instead of on a phone can look real stupid ... imagine when the thing hangs ... or it understood you incorrectly and sends a flirty sms to Andy instead of Mandy ... :D
