ooo, ooo!! Let me be the first to say: IT HAS BECOME SUSTAINABLE! :p But what draconian FUP! I may not download 800MB in 6 hours or I will be shaped to death on a 1MB line?? And the most expensive 4MB uncapped product? And the way their network reliability has been up and down lately. Nah, way too little, way too late. GTFO!

6 Hours is a bit minimum, eish. 7 Days, while not agreeing with it, can be seen as reasonable for a lot of folks but 6 hours ........ "You downloaded BF3, you're bad, throttled" = nuh uh

Was wondering when someone would come along with the "unsustainable" :p
Our AUP is extremely transparent, not really draconian... You won't be shaped to death either, and besides - after 7 days you'll be back up to your full line speed.

Both from a WA as well as my personal opinion - this is an awesome product!
 
I think the offering looks pretty decent, you can do on average a little over 6 Gigs a day on 4Mbs. At least they have a straight forward, transparent FUP.

Here’s where it gets interesting! All usage during Download Plus hours, that’s between 12am and 7am does NOT contribute to your overall usage. That’s right, you can completely max out your account between these hours, and it will NOT count towards your 6 hour and 7 day rolling windows. It’s a free for all! This is when you can really get the most out of downloads and updates.

Yeah but Jeff, what sane gamer would be able to put off playing BF3 by waiting until midnight ....... I'd scratch my eyes out :p

We run on the IS backbone? Where you get that info from...
We've been on our own network for a solid amount of time - our Uncapped products run through our network, not IS's.

Yeah but Mephisto_Helix, jump onto 10Mbps Uncapped :p 7.91GB's over a 6 hr period isn't bad at all :)
 
We have yet to see how stringent the "throttling" is when you go over your limit, it could be better than some of the previous posts suggest.

Moaning about it before we have some solid information on how it performs when throttled (or deprioritized) is pointless :P

Yeah Mephisto, pay R1.7k a month to play battlefield! :p Ok, I haven't seen the forum part of downloading in DP hours won't count towards your window, that's better, but still 800MB in 6 hours? What if I have to download a BF3 game patch of 1.5GB when I get home or something and I want to play that evening still? I'm then stuck with lower speeds for the rest of the evening. I currently download your 7 day limit in one day on TI 1MB uncapped and I'm still going at full speed.

This bit is key.

So jeff how much slowdown does going over the limit produce on average?
