BlackBerry special pricing comparison: Summer 2011

I now wish I didn't sign a contract, but the deal I signed still trumps anything offered.

I pay 149 (including bis), got music vouchers, R500 cash back voucher, and 9300 curve.

All these companies forget how specials work?

Why do you wish you didn't sign up ? Is your deal still on ? Altech Autopage has a 9300 for R139 including BIS. Link

I think in summer lots of people sign up. Do why have specials when you can cash in?
 
RPM please correct the article,yesterday cell c launched a special on the 8520....I saw it in the papers it was R99 per month.

That trumps the other deals on 8520 surely?

this is attractrive for those that want a phone for basic calling and messaging and BBM.
Cell C website doesn't have this deal listed though :confused:
 
Why are they still selling the 8520!!! That should be taken off the market. Its the most common bb and what most ppl judge bb's on. It really doesn't make a good first impression.

Still don't get why BB's are so expensive.

I don't get this either. I'm now waiting for my upgrade, a Motorola Defy which is R89/month on MTN Anytime 100. Is it because of BIS that these Blackberries are so expensive?

You are right the website doesn't list it,maybe its an instore special only,i seen it in the newspaper here in vereeniging so maybe only the vaal stores have it on that promo?

True by now 9300 should be the lowest bb on the market,but i suspect that the cellphone networks would rather have the majority of bb users using edge instead of 3g......this actually makes sense as then power users dont get clogged networks.

It is my first blackberry, and the experience is not as awesome as everyone would have you believe. I had a vodafone V845 android phone I paid 800 for that was more fun to use...
 
There are MANY new BB phones being launched. I think they trying to get rid of stock...

+1 I think the 8520 should be considered a feature phone now by todays standards though. Its is slow and has a ridiculously low amount of memory. I used a friends one once and it was a VERY painful experience.
