Hey guys,

I can't confirm the prices on other contracts, but I got quoted these by Vodacom for my iPhone Talk 240 package:

iPhone 4s 16GB R549 pm
iPhone 4s 32GB R599 pm
iPhone 4s 64GB R699 pm or a R2,500 pay in

Agreed Kazaam!

I am concerned about their stock availability though. I have heard rumours that the stock will not arrive until after December. But I'm not sure if this is true. It would be most disappointing though.

Sorry, "or a R2,500 pay in", what does that mean?

is this one of those iPhone contracts with data and minutes and sms or just plain vanilla Talk 240?

Thanks! Not too bad considering. Pretty much around last year's pricing. Interested to see how MTN compare. Was hoping to get 32 gig but wow that's pricey.

CharlC, did they mention where /when you'd be getting the phone?

They said they would deliver it to me
Timing wasn't certain as they have not received the stock as yet. She said sometime next week, but I am not convinced. We will have to wait and see!

I got called today for pre-order. Apparently its available from the 16th, but due to the public holiday will only be available the 19th. No stores will have stock for a week I hear so only via courier shipment. Another claims delivery is scheduled for Saturday the 17th between 08h00 and 12h00 in Jhb only.

I can confirm the pricing as above - I was quoted the same. The 64GB is available for free on a iPhone Talk 500S contract as well.

I was quoted R299 for Business Call, my wife was only offered Weekender something or other for R399. Both for 16GB, to be delivered on the 19th (Monday)

Yep, vodacom scheduled delivery with me on Saturday morning. YAY!! Goodbye MTN. I have to admit the excellent service I got from Vodacom sofar is quite refreshing, and they actually phoned me back when they said they would. But hey, lets see if I get the phone on saturday, never count your chickens before they hatched ;)

Vodacom has been disgusting in terms of service. Surely its false advertising to state the phone will be available on the 16th and then only make them available to pre-registration customers via courier delivery (dispatch on the 19th for delivery the 20th or 21st) or in your case hopefully delivery on the 17th.

Note Vodaworld is opening at 8pm on the 16th for new contract customers. Screw the existing upgrading customers.
