These things have been a fairly staple part of my diet for a while now.

A year or so ago I weighed around 77, yesterday I tipped the scale at 92.

For the last two days I have been free of these scrumptious temptresses, and I intend to stay this way for as long as possible.

This thread is just here as a way to guilt myself into making the right choices, as I travel this dry, grainy and possibly boring path which will hopefully lead to a firmer body and well oiled mind.

:)

Day 3 tomorrow.

*edit*

Asking mods to retitle, on account of having smoked cannabis once since this thread was made and my OCD cannot take the deception any longer. :D

Also removing wheat and sugar from the title, as I do ingest them a bit as of late (although less than I used to).

Isn't that a no-go? Or just not with hard liquor. The times I smoked weed was always when I was drunk on brandy - it was always a horrible experience.

Agh, over the years you kind of learn what's dumb to do, and what's not. I get very tense if I smoke without alcohol, but might enjoy it due to the relaxing nature of alcohol.

The bottom line is I want my body to be firm and my mind supple.

I've had enough of being who I was.

A change in lifestyle does not have to be a schlep just cut the sugar and the refined carbohydrates
find alternatives

If you really want that you should stop smoking - period...you're killing your brain. Drinking should be very very moderate as well.

Wheat, sugar and alcohol are the primary causes for the weight gain. Sounds like you like to party too much. Good luck in cutting those down and getting up off your ass and doing some exercise ;)

Which of the following causes the most weight gain?

  • 1 kilojoule of carbohydrate
  • 1 kilojoule of protein
  • 1 kilojoule of fat
