That doesn't seem accurate, based on the Symbian Belle roll-out status info on the Nokia site...

a step in the right direction

Just installed the the .apk from xda-developers.

The syncing and "Desktop" tabs work quite well. Could of the gestures seem to work too.

The page pre loading feature is worth a test in the morning.

A feature I am missing is the "quick controls" feature the cm9 stock browser has on the GalaxyTab 10.1

Works very nicely on my Galaxy SII with ICS (cm9). Immediately was able to continue reading a tab that was open on the tablet etc. Uses more screen space than stock browser since it has a top and bottom bar.

I look forward to both final ICS and Chrome releases...

The site is incorrect, I've already updated 2 devices to Belle through Nokia Suite, one E7 on MTN and one N8 on 8ta.

Vodacom devices don't have an update as yet, this is to be expected as Vodacom have always been piss poor at approving Nokia updates.

I love how the rest of Africa is ahead of Vodacom and has approved the update and it's also not like they haven't had long enough to test it, I was running Belle on my N8 last year August/September already.

It is possible to update any s^3 device with any network's/generic firmware for that device though.

Ok, have downloaded the apk and am posting this from Chrome Beta.

Seems fine, just have not found a desktop mode setting yet ?

Ok, thanks, pity about the desktop mode, I use it all the time with Opera!

I guess that ends my test of the Beta, most of my sites work better in desktop mode !

I found another way to install it:
I searched for Google Chrome"on the android market via the PC, and when I found it I sent the link to my phone with Chrome to phone.
On the phone I clicked the link and made it open with the market app instead of a browser, the market gave an error about it not being available in my country then downloaded and installed it anyway :D
