Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 coming at MWC

The Note 10.1 will use the S Pen in the same way the original Note did, Tab 10.1 won't.

I wonder if there'll be any performance difference between the two or are you just paying for the Wacom pen? Must admit, from a graphic design/artists POV it would be great, that's if there were any proper tablet apps for design on Android.
 
Its much deeper than simply throwing a stylus into the box of the 10.1 Note. Behind the S-Pen comes a more advanced capacitive screen technology that is more sensitive, and which allows for gestures like clicking the back of the pen or depressing it into the screen result, to achieve different context-sensitive results.

Also the Galaxy Note (phone) is a very high spec device, moreso than the current Galaxy Tab 10.1. So expect the Galaxy Note 10.1 to become Samsung's Flagship tablet device.

Pen quality is crap, only 128 pressure levels (current Wacom top tablets are 1024 pressure levels to 2048), plus if you've actually watched a demo of the pen usage you'll know the quality is not good enough for graphic design, very bad lag and imprecise position recognition.

It's a toy for simple diagrams and writing.

Thanks, never knew that. How does that compare to a capacitive pen? 1 pressure level? :D

If done properly then it can be an improvement, the multi touch panel most likely tracks more precisely than the pen. Which IMO makes this a gimmick more than a valuable feature ;)
