I am an insurance consultant and have pdf and word documents which i need to have clients sign. Ideally i would like to have these documents on a tablet or smartphone, and then when visiting a client, they can sign on the tablet or smartphone. I need to be able to email it immediately to the insurer as well.
The other apps I tend to use all the time are MS excel and email. Navigation like tom tom or anything similar would be nice too.

I was told to look at tablets (asus eee) and the Samsung Note smartphone in particular- as these allow you to load
pdf and word documents, which your client can complete and sign and then just email it straight from your device to the insurer.

So my questions are:
1.Is the above possible? can a client actually fill in their details and sign in their own handwriting on some devices?
2. which tablets or smartphones would you recommend for the above tasks?
3. Finally, do i need additional software or can they do this out of the box?
4. if i need additional software- what do you recommend, price and is it easy to use?

thanks

I use my iPad2 to do this. Have the pdfs in Dropbox. Then open them in Goodnotes where I can enter typed text and the client or I can use a stylus to make notes or sign. Then I email it to the office to print or straight to whoever needs it.

Thanks Freshly.

Have not looked at the I-Pad, will try to get hold of my mates and try the above.

of course you should be able to achieve the same thing on an Android tablet as well. I just have an iPad and made it work for me.

I would however say that screen size is important. While you could achieve the same on a smart phone like an iPhone or Galaxy etc I think having some decent screen real estate makes it easy to work with the forms.
