If you are a Cybersmart ADSL subscriber, please rate them on performance (speed and latency), support, value for money and overall satisfaction

Please also tell us how Cybersmart can improve to make you a happier customer.

Cybersmart could possibly decrease the turnaround time of support tickets.
I've been a Cybersmart customer for ~5 years now. Of course I've had issues but their service has always improved.

I get my max line speed (or very close to) when downloading/uploading files and get very good latency.

As for value for money, I am paying ~R430 and getting ~5GB (Grow for life package) on a 6mb ADSL Line.

They can appoint another callcentre operator or two to lessen your time spend on our very expensive telephone calls. otherwise fine. when you got a real problem, you contact Laurie directly and your fixed.

Cybersmart need to add reasonably prices uncapped packages and improve the support services. Other then that, no other problems.

Since I joined Cybersmart I have never had any issues with my speed and on the occasion when I need to contact their call centre I have always received helpful and friendly assistance. I definitely will recommend them to my friends!!

They deliver on their product and can't complain on that.

However, their staff is not very clued up. You phone them and end up just talking in circles. I am also too scared to move my line from them with the fear I will be without internet or find my line cancelled. A customer should never have those feelings. Their cancelation policy is also the worst, whereas with other ISP's you can that all via their clientzones.

I also find their promotions and packaging to be behind the times. Their website and 'clientzone' sucks and is extremely aged and not user friendly.

The valentines special was refreshing from them and I hope to see that type of promotion more often from them!
I will most probably move from them to go on an uncapped account somewhere else later this year.

Hmmm....Joined in March and first post is in this thread....looks dodgy

Although ,due to moving house and etc etc i had to cancel my contract with them Cybersmart have always been great
I was with them for roughly 6 years and even got a "cap increase" due to my loyalty .. Support was always Brilliant .... (mostly got through to Paul :) ) and people that i've recommended them to have never had any issues either.

i think they pretty much fair for the price and service -- though i do find that their online email client suck big time!! sometimes its slow as hell and it doesnt look like much thye could do better with that.

Good service etc. bla bla bla
Let's get down to the nitty gritty - unshaped = low latency and constant speeds at all hours (no throttling). At their prices - it's excellent value for money. Hence I've never felt the need to move to uncapped.

Been with Cybersmart for close to 6 years. Although there has been an issue or two over the years, nothing major that I would consider moving.
Latency is find and speed is always close to maximum, never had issues with shaping.
Value for money they're definitely up there.
As others have mentioned, call centre and online tickets can take a bit long to process, but have had worse with other ISPs.

I have tried almost every ISP in the country, and Cybersmart outperforms the others by leaps and bounds. Their Night Rider package is a really awesome concept and allows users to get up to 5 times their monthly cap between 12:30 at night and 7am. This makes their 10Gb package stretch much further and makes their unshaped connectivity much more appealing than the pathetic uncapped accounts that I've had at every other ISP.

They can probably be the best ISP IF they get some support staff who know what they talking about. Their support staff at the call centre are hopeless (most of them). But if you call one of the more senior staff, then their service is outstanding.

Cybersmart have lost me as a customer despite me giving them a warning to the effect.
Good riddance!

I have been with Cybersmart for nearly 4 years, and there speed and latency are quite good, with no shaping visible (sometimes the last day of the month, downloading is slower)
Quite cheap for non-redundant unshaped data.
True about issues - phone the boss and its fixed.

Anything above 1st Level support is a nightmare because you can only speak to the first level guys.

I have been with Cybersmart for close to 6 years now. Over that time i have had really good service from them. My account has never been shaped as i get full line speed constantly. Rarely have i had a problem of my line dropping, even during online games.
However over the past month or so, i have been receiving bad latency during office hours (8:00 - 17:00) which does affect some online games etc. Not sure if that's just temporary as in system problems that they are fixing or permanent.
Would also like see some uncapped packages in the near future, would definitely support them.

Overall Cybersmart has been great, will continue to support them.

Cybersmart has been good to me, but I do think they can sell higher cap accounts since they are serious about not doing the uncapped thing. I use Night Rider, but since I got my 1mb line the 10GB account is not cutting it anymore. I would be willing to pay R100-R150 more for a 20-25GB account. Another R239 for a 10GB top-up is too much, and I think 25GB will be more than enough for me(also using Night Rider with it)

Very happy with Cybersmart. Very good value for money with Night Rider. Laurie always available to help when everything else fails.
