iPad 3 hands-on

Can you tell the difference between the new iPad and the old new iPad?

I remember when I got my iPad 2 I was nervous as there wasn't anything that said iPad 2 on the outside of the box. It was only after checking what the box looked like that I felt more assured. Perhaps MyBroadband should post an article displaying the difference between the iPad2 & iPad3 packaging?

That's wierd, I am willing to bet there was nothing on the box that said "iPad 3" either :P

Doubt it... unless one of the MyBB journos got there first, in which case it would be called iFred anyway.

I really thought this would be a bother for me but it hasn't, the only site I've had issues with were a few car sites but then they had mobile views as well.

Yep... Never bothered me either. Oh, and StevenC... Bwahahahahahahahaha!

Thanks for being honest.

When I pose the question, all the iPad owners say they've never ever had an issue rather than simply admitting they've had issues while owned

EDIT : As above :)

Pretty much aligns with my opinion.

iPad 2 users can hold on to their (relatively) new device.
iPad 1st gen users have a pretty compelling upgrade

That's not true.
I told you the other day that you run into some sites every now and then where flash is required, but this is very, very few and far between. (At at a diminishing rate compared to 3 years ago)

OK - the two of you out of the millions :P

A bit of a yellow tint on the 3rd gen iPad, don't like that at all.

Jan : Not a bad article, but comes across as very light when you compare it to other comparison reviews i.e JT's review on TheVerge

Based on some of the feedback I've been getting on the article, it's not uncommon for two Apple devices (even ones that are the same model) to have slightly different screen hues.

If it wasn't a side-by-side I wouldn't even have noticed.

In all fairness to Mybroadband they did say it wasn't a review

Although it most likely doesn't say iPad 3 as it is not the iPad 3

+1

Seems to be some forum discussion around new iPads manufactured in week 1 of production run (apparently there are 10 weeks of production already) and the first batches have a distinct yellow tinge.

Weird ... but immediately noticeable.
