Facebook users can't say "Book" when logged in

That's ok, we can still provide a Google plus link when logged in...

so I can't say:

here is a great book I just finished reading:)
<provide link of said book>

I doubt that they thought it through...

They haven't enforced it yet.

I think from the article its actually going to be enforced retrospectively... ie they will delete the offending word

never mind the fact that the word book has been in the English Dictionary for nearly a thousand years. :rolleyes:

Has there even been an English dictionary for nearly a thousand years?

I wonder what will happen when the social networks all merge.... currently it's apt to become YourTwitFace.... with the inclusion of Google it might just become YourTwitFaceGoo...

Oh.

Book.

This article is way misleading. The use of book is only as a trademark. It's to stop some company forming a social network site like BookFace or Friendbook.
This has nothing to do with the actual word "book".

Well Steve Jobs trademarked "Apple"....

And Bethesda (:sick:) tried to sue people for using the word "scrolls" in their game... And Adobe tries to sue people for using the word "photoshopped". Screw these arrogant ****ers!

These include: “F,” “Face,” “FB,” “Wall,” “Facepile,” and “Friendfeed.”

What the hell is Facepiles?????? Do you get that from lying on your face on a cold floor?

Book bookety book book!
