Fake Instagram infects Android devices with malware

If Android owners download the app from unapproved sources, rather than official sites such as the official Google Play Android marketplace, they run the risk of infecting their smartphone. Once installed, the app will send background SMS messages to premium rate services, earning its creators revenue.

Who in their right mind will Pirate Instagram, oh wait seeing that some people cough*acebook did't know you can get it for free on the Android market I guess there must be others that don't know either.

News must be slow when people start reporting of Viruses found in pirated software, well either that or someone is getting paid to spread FUD.
