Mac rumour control ahead of WWDC 2012

The article doesn't even mention OS X 10.7 (Mountain Lion). I don't think they'll spend too much time on iOS this time 'round...

Yeah, I'm expecting 10.7 to get a lot of the attention

Nah, huge iOS6 banners have been put up around the centre. Me thinks this is going to be a massive one for Apple. iOS6, a preview for Mountain Lion and the release of new laptops and desktops. What looks likely is the Air will be the new Macbook range, the Pro's will be updated with the wedge shape, bumped specs and possibly a retina display. The iMac will have a new (thinner) form factor and bumped specs and the Mac Pro is also supposedly due for an update and I think we will just see the top of the line of everything stuffed into an aluminium case.

I suspect the Mountain Lion preview will be one of the final Beta's and will launch in a months time roughly, to coincide with summer, the release of the new laptops and desktops etc.

It'll be interesting to see what the maps coverage outside the US/Europe is like if they move away from Google.

IOS6, Mountain Lion, Maps, Siri for iPad, iCloud & Facebook, Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, possible inbetweener MacBook, MacBook Air, Retina displays, Apple TV and a couple of new peripherals like the AirPorts... Who knows... Just a couple of hours to go 'tho. :D

I am sure it will cover the basics, especially if you are in a big city. Johannesburg and Cape Town will definitely be covered with street maps etc, possibly 3D but if you live in Tweebuffelsmeteenkoeldoodskootfontein I have a feeling data might be a touch thin for your area.

If that's true, it's a step backwards for us, which will be a bit bleak.

I'm happy that my iPad 2 will be supported in iOS 6, meaning it should get Siri - sorry for the iPad 1 owners, lucky I sold my iPad 1 in January.

I LOVE the idea of an iMac with a retina display, and for the MBP to have a model that includes that.

I'm getting the popcorn ready and will be watching the event live on engadget :) It looks like there will be some big changes announced tonight
