DStv Walka 7 unveiled

Wow, DSTV came with something really cool. TV on the go!

Ah, DSTV Compact, There are 35 channels (I think), and I only watch 4 Channels on that.

It's worse than it sounds. The bitrate is very,very low. In short, you can't read most sports scores. I stopped using my Walka after about a week. If it looks crap on a 4" screen, you'll probably get migraines from watching it on a 7" screen.

Shouldn't the article also note that (last time I looked), the premium bouquet wasn't going to stay free for much longer? IIRC, in March, you start paying.

They can release whatever they want. But since most places dont have coverage its just a waste of time.
 
If only they used a different standard with a better resolution I'd take it. Even if it would just be for sports while on the go or at the office
 
And eventually we will walk around with 22" screens.
 
they can increase the quality if they get rid of:

eNews, SuperSport Blitz, CNNi, Channel O, AfricaMagic, Disney XD

as far as i'm concerned those are useless.
 
Yes you can get it as a stand alone. You don't have to be a DStv subcriber. Subscription is R49 :-)
 
I recently got a Walka 7, because i am tired of sitting and doing nothing while being load shedded. Now atleast i can watch some TV.
Thankfully i am in a reception area.
