Plugg uncapped ADSL: new prices come in cheap

I see PLuGG noticed a gap in the market after Afrihost and Axxess left them - at least someone's taking note. Though my OW Vanilla uncapped 4MB is still suiting me just fine.

Why does the article state prices from R87, but the table starts at R99?

Thanks!

Signed up, but they want me to make a deposit of R0.00 before I can get my details... :P

I feel so bad about this! I have now paid this on your behalf and faxed them the proof of payment. They should SMS the account details to you shortly. :D

“We have noticed that clients from various ISPs are suffering from high latency, effectively preventing gamers from playing online games. We are helping out by granting access to our Gold level ADSL network to the first 200 folks to take us up on this obligation free offer,” said Openweb’s Keoma Wright.
A *cough* fri *cough* host!!

I like 2 concurrent connections on 1 account, does Plugg have any rep here to tell us about throttling?

Just remember that the convention is that the 2 concurrent connections combined will be limited to the account speed.

We manage all of our uncapped accounts on an hour to hour basis depending on the performance of our network at that time.
We monitor our overall network usage on an hour to hour basis and if our capacity is stretched we dynamically shape and throttle certain clients' uncapped accounts to relieve congestion.
These uncapped clients will be chosen based on their historic bandwidth usage. The uncapped users who have used the most bandwidth will be throttled first if there is network congestion.

I have been using them for over a year now

average about 300GB - 400GB per month

I see that at night I get my full line speed on both connections

Hope this will help someone

That sounds reasonable as I can use this at home and the business. It would be a nice replacement to the 50gig package from Afrihost.
