New FNB website: complaints (and some compliments) flood in

Meh.
Change the Facebook website. They complain.
Change the Twitter website. They complain.
Change the Flickr website. They complain.
Change the FNB website. They complain.

In short, change <anything> and people will complain.

FNB moving to a responsive design website. I wonder if the other banks will follow suit.

True as Bob.

I checked it out on my phone. Looks like they only half uploaded it or something.

True to an extent.

Change is good, as long as it works. In this case, I cannot access my accounts. That's a pretty valid reason to complain, is it not?

logged on twice today. Worked flawlessly each time and i quite dig the layout. Sure it takes a bit to get used to but its miles better then the old one.

I see Staff Writer is giving us our 15 minutes of fame. About the only thing that has brought a smile to my face this whole day... Extremely stressful getting one's credit card cloned and cash withdrawn from one's account one the day that FNB decided to upload a half functional online banking site. I was pretty much powerless to limit the damage if they had happened to clone other cards too.

Complaining about complaining.

Used the site from my S4 this morning. Amazingly responsive and everything I needed works.

You can see when journalism is budget constrained or sensationalist - they start quoting twitter and anonymous forum posts.

I was able to see my accounts and share performance with it last night. Either way, as long as I can see the share prices I'm happy. For everything else (well almost everything else) there are the apps.

...I really really REALLY hope that FNB is not planning to throw away the native apps and replace it with this site :/

Played around this morning with no major issues, so i would say the look and feel are good for me, have done much to score it

FNB is trying to be the leader of cheap tablets and mobile devices. It makes sense that they'd make their services touch-friendly. It'll certainly make it easier to navigate on my iPad.

Had a quick look this morning. So far so good. Everything's a bit big, but I guess it'll look just right on mobile devices. Will test later.
