Russian mobile operators stop selling Apple iPhone

I smell the start of an anti-Apple revolution. In 2 or 3 years things could be very different for Apple.

Their government is doing them no favours either. There is a growing hatred for anything American across the world and it will affect those trying to sell their stuff outside of the US. No-one wants to be treated like exploitable consumers who can be spied on and manipulated.

Growing from a surprisingly large base, I remember talking to Malaysians in KL 15 years ago over a period of 4 years or so, and the general impression of Americans was one of dislike due to their pushiness, arrogance and 'owning the world' attitudes. (and that was the peace loving Muslims, not the radical ones!)

Apple, the beleaguered company that has been going out of business since 1989.

The operators were hurt by the fact that Russia does not allow subsidies for handsets, making the phones too expensive for the average customer, the paper reported.

I wonder why..?
