Amazon unveils futuristic drone delivery plan

Drop the purchase off in front of the front door with no POD.

And the privacy issue. Surely the drones will have cameras, but they won't be pushing the intercom button at the gate. They will fly right to your door step.

And I'm sure you will sign some sort of terms of service to say Amazon has the right to use optical equipment and filming of video for the purposes of delivering your goods. Not to mention the fact that you would inherently agree if you opt into the service ... considering this would be a specific Amazon prime service.

What I want to know is how these drones will avoid collision with other (non-amazon) drones and real aircraft. I imagine the will have to have something built into them similar to an aircraft TCAS system.
 
Mmm, maybe my dusty sniper rifle can be used for some profitable hunting in future after all!

It's meant for delivery in like 30 minutes. I have had similar ideas here in SA, but not feasible yet :whistle:

Yes, but you still lose your privacy bit by bit.
