WhatsApp to add voice calls, launch MVNO

I am looking forward to this obvious evolution. BBM didn't have enough contacts to chat (as both parties had to be in wifi at the same time), Googletalk hadn't caught on enough and I prefer using Whatsapp to Viber (which does have voice).
 
Now that you guys mention it, I'd actually be for it if it can record my calls. All the the call recording apps I've tried are crap.
 
Hopefully the data usage of a voice call is cheaper than making a call through Vodacom/MTN/Cell C, or else I'll just use it when I'm in a Wi-Fi hotspot. I know Skype just eats away mobile data.

I have BBM on android and don't have to be on wifi to make calls or send messages...

Lol, it's not like it hasn't been done before either. How is it more challenging than it was for the developers over at Viber? Or Skype?
