We are fighting for consumers: MTN

MTN says that they are fighting on the behalf consumers who deserve a strong, reliable and progressive network, and a conducive business environment in which competition is fair

Classic CellC stick it to them . :D
I dont think MTN can win this one in the eyes of the public , may be in court but not in the public's view.

Seriously, This is the worst cellphone company that ignores their clients, does whatever they want to. Staff are obnoxious and worry more about their ears, after fighting from Dec 2013 about incorrect billing charges to get an dumped excel spreadsheet of url's and I must accept data as correct, they ignore my emails I send them with my proof and just disconnect their phone when they decide to close the query, without my knowledge..... They do not phone back, they cut calls, they send you to dark holes where no answers. I HATE THIS COMPANY ... I'm taking this to the ombudsman ... and not even to mention that they have the worst reception ever, every now and then I have no service, and this is how they treat a customer that has been loyal for 15 years with three cell phone contracts. From 2009-09 to current I have paid R110 000 on just one cellphone account and still get treated like ****

What's next? They're going to fsck for virginity? Drink champagne on behalf of the people? Wonder where we've heard these sorts of statements before...

This is same argument Vodacom used not so long ago. Basically saying that higher prices are better for the consumer.

MTN is fighting for consumers in the same way that eTolls are good for the economy.

Whatever these pri1cks print, is the truth, their truth and anything but the truth.

Anyone who can read an annual report can see that MTN has been making fat margins for years. The top managers literally made billions off this one.

Also, there are no 'investors' in MTN as such, MTN Group owns MTN South Africa and all they do financially is extract dividends. Shareholders are not buying MTN for the SA story.

Its the age old story, same thing the ANC does. Put something in print, doesnt matter how ridiculous it is, the mere fact that its in writing makes most people simply believe it

That's like fighting for health by giving everyone cancer, or figthing for wealth by giving everyone poverty.

MTN is the ANC of cellular providers.

(And Cell-C is still ahead in this campaign)

We are fighting for consumers: MTN

err... Ok

That is just a typo. They meant to say "We are fighting four consumers" which means that every MTN employee have, on average, 4 unhappy clients they have to deal with at any given moment.
See? Now it makes sense.

I live in the central Cape Town Southern Suburbs, in the year 2014, and MTN only provides a 2G/Edge data signal at my house.
I don't believe that that can be called a 'strong, reliable and progressive network'!
