MTN Sky offers unlimited calls, SMS, and uncapped data

There is also a range of MTN Sky prepaid products, including:

MTN Sky Absolute (2GB) at R599 – Unlimited calls and SMSes to all networks and 2GB of data.

Now this looks like a awesome!!!!! deal compared to cellc deal....

The company stated that the unlimited data comes with a 5GB fair use limit. A subscriber’s Internet access will be slowed down (throttled) once they have reached the maximum usage of 5GB per month.
Their definition of unlimited differs from mine. It's the same as saying unlimited, but with limitations.

That's probably excluding a phone, but still rather good.

I would think its without a phone since its prepaid. I think its a good deal and most likely the best prepaid deal on offer now although paying R599 for what you get there is not as cheap as it should be though but a good step in the right direction.

Careful, the 2 Gb deal seems to be different than the bigger ones. Data are capped?? Still better than CellC though.

But between the Super and ultimate packages you pay R800 extra for 2 Gb data? Wtf?

"MTN Sky Absolute (2GB) at R599 – Unlimited calls and SMSes to all networks and 2GB of data.
MTN Sky Super (Uncapped) at R999 – Unlimited calls and SMSes across all networks, uncapped data with a Fair Use Policy of 3GB.
MTN Sky Ultimate (Uncapped) at R1,799 – Unlimited calls and SMSes across all networks, uncapped data with a Fair Use Policy of 5GB."

Shoo MTN...

If it was not for the SKY Absolute, this would be a laughing situation.

But I must say, I have 8 Contracts with Telkom Mobile on unlimited, this deal really makes me think.

Pity I hate MTN. Sending the carrot a bit too late.

Never thought MTN would bring out a prepaid deal cheaper than Cell C (MTN Sky Absolute).

But what is the catch? unlimited phone calls? Only to MTN numbers?

This is either poor reporting or deceptive press releasing, same thing I suppose.

" for example
MTN Sky Ultimate (uncapped) will last you for 30 days,
The MTN Sky Super (uncapped) will last you 15 days,
the MTN Super (1GB) will last you for 30 days and the
MTN Sky Absolute (2GB) will last for 7 days."

So they look like they are still nearly twice as expensive as the CellC offering at R999 for unlimited calls and 1 GB for 30 days. Remember that 5 GB of Data on the MTN network costs R145 through Afrihost.
