well that presentation looks amazeballz. sure your s/o enjoyed it.

Tx man. The mains looked even better. but the real challenge was that we had 10 guests. 12 in total. Had to plate 12 mains and 12 of these desserts. Spent about 2 full days prepping.

Here are some pics of the mains in progress. Don't have better pics.

Pea & mint puree
Blanched brussel leaves
Raw micro veggies: carrot, radish & spring onion
Mini designer rosti
Rolled lamb shoulder
Blanched & roasted baby carrots, leeks & marrows.

The blanching brings out vivid colours...

Slow cooked Lamb Rib

^^^ Looking good.

For the first time I've seen spaghetti squash here. Always wanted to try it.
Brushed with oil & salt, baked for an hour @ 220.
Delicious. Caramelized salty stringy with a slight al-dente feel to it. Ate it just like that.

Chicken and mushroom pie. Wife made a chilli paste to go with it too. Was good for 2 suppers

Picked up a massive prime rib roast and made it today.

Is that a non-stick Le Creuset in the background? The reason I ask is do you use metal utensils in it? According to LC website their non-stick pans are metal-utensil safe.

I want to try Classic French style omelette, but you have to use a fork. Dont wanna do that if it will damage my LC pan

We don't really use metal in it, but just cause we don't need to. Iirc, they'll replace it if something goes wrong so I'd say go for it. Alternatively, invest in a cast-iron pan.

Le Creuset make a enamel coated skillet and in this months Fairlady they have a 15% coupon which came in very handy when I bought some pots.

I wonder if I should start another thread on reviews of kitchen equipment or essentials? Or just post here?
