Raspberry Pi 2 Model B surprise launch, local pricing

How weird is this. Just found a brand new RbPi2 in a case, in our mens restrooms just sitting on the counter... Hopefully the owner contacts our facilities people.
I'd check for webcams in the restroom.

After doing the rounds in the office for some other testing I finally got the chance to fire up my Pi 2 with OpenELEC. Initial impression is that it's very comparable to my trusty HPMS. Menu is snappy and once the meta data had updated there is no noticeable lag. I did some limited testing on 1080p sources and it's all smooth.

I went looking for a more elegant way to power it on/off and found the RemotePi Board Plus 2015, which looks like a drop in solution and claims to work with pretty much any remote and OpenELEC.

I will be getting that case as well as a RPi 2 B from them end of March - when I can buy myself something again. :D

As to getting cheaper, doudt you can get it much cheaper, they have given me good service, the R100.00 delivery charge might make it a bit steep, so I will be getting a few other bits from them as well, to make it worthwhile.

Oddly enough i did find a cheaper enclosure at Micro Robotics -> R79 + R69 (flat-rate) delivery. I grabbed it.
Ps: You can collect free from their store in Centurion.

Only thing that has, that is of any value, that the RPi 2, does not from my poi t of view, is an RTC.

The Odroid-C1 is much better.

My RPi 2 B will be arriving today, but now I am looking for a audio player, that will pause/resume play an audio book, so that I can continue listening, where I was, when I got interrupted.

Any recommendations please.

You running headless or with full desktop?

I'm using some of my pi as dedicated headless audio devices. Look at squeezelite on top of squeezeplug or picoreplayer.

Thanks, will look at those ...

Xaile works great, and I understand Audacious, and VLC with a plugin, have similar functionality. Using MPD to play back my music, and it works very well, but there, is as far as I am aware, no way of pausing/resuming/bookmarking for audio books, with it ...
