Not even judges can stop WhatsApp

Not even judges can stop WhatsApp

A judge says he has ordered the suspension of the globally popular instant messaging system WhatsApp

How is that's WhatApp's problem?

Just because a company puts a product forth into the world, doesn't make it their problem when used incorrectly/inappropriately.... take guns, alcohol ...and microwaves for example. - Incorrect guidelines/instruction, is a different matter.

*facepalm* I weep for humanity.

What a joke. WhatsApp only uploads contact and group info AFAIK. What must they do about media being sent from one contact to another? Also, good luck blocking WhatsApp lol.

Is it still possible for your Whatsapp messages to be hacked?

Well.... Ok kwl stop WhatsApp and people will use A SMS! lol >.< pointless fight.... Pretty sure if they request it suspended WhatsApp wouldn't hesitate to do so, especially if it is causing an issue with an investigation, though with that said they would point out as I pointed out above... The users would turn to SMS or even better picking up a phone and phoning someone. WhatsApp is just a platform for messaging, there are alternatives

Or just use telegram or some other encrypted messaging program. SMS is even worse than WhatsApp.

And this heading is pure clickbait, they appealed the ruling and the case is still under way. This happens all the time, and it's not Whatsapp disregarding the law.

True SMS is bleh :O

Better use Telegram, as it encrypts all messages. In addition you can open secure chat with no messages going through the server and you have graphics key representation, so you can compare encryption keys when you meet together. Matching signature gives assurance that there is not middle-man. Only if you verify above you can talk about self-destructing option. Self-destruction doesn't apply to the middle-man. :)

I'd use Telegram, except that my friends and family don't use it. So WhatsApp it is.

They actually are moving over to Telegram. Looking at my Telegram update this morning it mentions the growth from South America :D :D

Telegram also added unlock code into the app itself. So if someone get's a hold of your phone..... good luck ;)

I don't understand. It has to have, otherwise it wouldn't be able to connect. The phone is your key itself, there are external ways to protect it. If you lose the phone, there is the same procedure as replacing SIM card. In Telegram there is an option to deactivate all other devices.
Anyway, if you have more information, please share.

You put a code in place via the app to lock it, hiding your cheating ass from prying eyes. uploadfromtaptalk1425104624588.jpg
