Sata Cable Adapters - iMac

Tough to find. SouthBit has some, maybe he can sell you one?

If anyone's interested I just finished this install on a 21.5" 2011 iMac and all went well (barring the ton of swearing when the display wouldn't power on - but that's my own fault as I forgot to plug in the LCD thermal sensor cable - DOH)!

Followed this video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOf0svk5FdY&feature=youtu.be

No fan issues and i'm cloning HDD to SSD with Carbon Copy Cloner as I type this.

In the end I used a SATA Y Splitter to split power from the original HDD SATA cable to both drives.

Very tight fit doing it this way but it seems to get around Apple's temperature sensor issues as it grounds or shorts the pins that would otherwise make the fan go haywire (as the drive isn't an Apple drive and has no internal temp sensors to report back, if Apple doesn't find these it turns the fans to max).
