We do have roll over, kind of - with topups.
But I know what you mean

It's quite a compelling offer.
Afrihost
R298 (Afrihost Plus+ is R99pm)
200GB daytime data
500MB free Mobile Data,
2-for-1 Topups on both DSL and Mobile Data
Simfy All Access music streaming
free newsserver
Vox
200 gigs daytime data costs R489 with rollover.
no newsserver
no Simfy,
no 500MB mobile data.
Much Much lower?
R50 less than Vox.
R70 less than CW.
It's not some massive saving.
In absolute terms, maybe not so much, but relatively? Definitely.
AH: R200
Vox: R250 (25% more than AH)
CW: R280 (40% more than AH)
We weren't discussing that package at all.
If you want to compare like that then I am getting 150Gb daytime data for R162.
It rolls over as well.
What i posted was not a promotion, it's simply their new pricing.
You can get 200gigs for R298 if you add Afrihost+. If their network holds up it's a hell of a deal.
Maybe it has something to do with load balancing. ISP’s want to ensure that they provision sufficient IPC for their customers and if data is stockpiled it could exceed available capacity.Anyone care to explain why ISPs are reluctant to let unused data roll over?
This is good news. If I upgrade the account now will it be available since it will be pro-rata for rest of the month?

It's been like that for ages and I just want to understand the logic reasoning behind it.
Are they afraid of running into a situation where a lot of customers want to use their unused data at the same time and then wreak havoc on their networks, or is is just too much for the accounting systems to keep track of?
I agree, good deal.
With "IF" in bold.
Not for me though.
How is there news server? with webafrica I can use the IS news server which seems to work great.
I run sunnyset+xenna+IS atm.
No idea, not on Afrihost....sure someone else can comment?
And what does it say? Is it good or bad?200 days retention speaks for itself.

That is a huge difference, thank you.A good News server has 1000-1100 day retention.
