MTN listens to and cares about customer complaints

Erm, friday thread should be in OT...

CUSTOMER: My data is disappearing
MTN: It is something on your phone
REALITY: It is MTN's network that craps out switching packets and then tries again and charges the user for both packets.

I do have to wonder, though, if the FF+ is going after an empowered company to bring balance to the farce with the EFF going after prejudiced companies.

And I do wonder how many of the supports of either side notices the difference...

is this the same MTN with yellow logo. I don't think so. I think that was an open statement. Its not quite complete. They MTN/Operator needs to tell us which customer, Iam sure there is criteria that qualifies the customers whose queries can be resolved satisfactorily. My queries and complaints were never attended to until I blacklisted MTN from my list of companies that I will do business with.

LOL. 30 minute wait to speak to a customer care consultant and 5 days to respond on twitter. Sure, you care.

Was lucky that I only had to phone them twice in the last 2 years. But that was the most painful hour ever.

So, I can only say................

I find MTN's level of customer service top notch.

I left MTN a couple of years ago because of billing problems.

Every time I tried to engage with somebody they tried to convince me I was wrong. But the errors were so fundamental it was crazy!

The sum Opening Balance - Payments + Invoices = Closing Balance did not balance!!! And I heard the strangest explanations -- anything from "another invoice was included in the amount but it is not on the statement therefore the statement is correct" to "but nowhere does it state that it should balance" or "according to our systems it is right".

I kept the statements because the errors was so ridiculous. And I left because of that! Funny that there are still billing problems. They could save themselves a lot of time and money by just taking some samples of these errors and tracing down and fixing the problems instead of blaming their customers. They obviously got a serious case of "Not My Job" at MTN.

I can't deal with MTN at all - their agents are so insulting in the way they insist you are both stupid and the cause of the problem.

I would love to send my list of issues for FF+ to resolve. It can't get me back those many lost hours or productivity but at least they will have no option but to admit where they went wrong
