The use of LED technology in data transmission

What about radiation? For me one of the biggest advantages of this could be the reduction in WiFi and other RF radiation... Has no one thought about this and/or expanded on it?

My guess is we will end up seeing biological effects from the modulated light in the same way that we see biological effects in certain groups from RF
 
LED still emits Electromagnetic radiation, any thing above absolute zero emits radiation, I am not sure why it would be any safer, or a reason to take off the protective tinfoil hat some people are wearing.The moment you start focusing the source is the moment you focus the radiation output....

So meh..

Penetration, absobtion or transparency...
Light will burn your eyes or skin, so you wear clothes and sunglasses instead of tinfoil hat. You didn't you notice that? ;)
Spectrum used for cellular communication is close to the frequency normally used for cooking. It penetrates and absorbs most of radiation.
