Send files over Skype when the recipient is offline

I prefer skype's calling. I would use it more on android but it keeps crashing during calls. (My calls are usually around two hours long on skype though.)
I like the screen sharing ability, file sharing is near useless at that speed, it's faster to upload to a file sharing site and then send the contact a link.

Whatsapp calling is still not that great I find. The group's color coding etc. is a lot nicer on WhatsApp but no group calls.
 
Stopped sending files via Skype for a while now. It's incredibly slow (used to be fine in the past). Guess the route via the NSA is congested.

Faster to just email it.

Why this "As long"? It updates automatically like Windows 10. Last time I spent two hours to figure out how to stop Skype auto updates. And every new version I install manually is trying to foul me out again.
 
Pssht, this is just so they can have a copy of your files.
Bet if your read down in the T&C's there's a spot where it says, we might/definitely keep a copy of your file, look at it, send it to others, **** over it.. whatever we please.
And of course... the kind of files you send over skype would be more personal than usual, so you're basically being a filter for your own files to send to skype/ms/whoever else wants the copy.

But lets market it to the masses as some kind of feature.

whatsapp calling seems to work better if both parties are connected to wifi. quality stinks even on lte.
(SPs probably slow that net traffic, speculation, not a SP/ISP expert)
 
So this is no longer p2p but rather they get stored on Micro$haft's servers ok

Yes, it's better if both parties are on WiFi but it's still worse than a Skype call (for me).
