Beware of Windows Update ransomware

So is it a pop up window or does it look like a genuine windows update link?

Critical updates are unacceptable these days. Quality sofware which don't need constant critical updates it is what we need.

These days? It has never been acceptable. But having seen what has gone on for the last 30 years or so, a pretty unrealistic expectation to expect anyone to wait for perfection before releasing their Junk.

I'm not sure that is even viable in today's constantly changing ever connected world.
The software is not the problem, it's people who want to hack the software that are the problem.

You seem to blame people who want to hack your PC, they always were...

It is more viable than ever, as quality of software has reached bottom of toleration level. We have Windows 10 for one year and it still looks like beta. Automatic updates are being forced on users, they more likely will accept "critical updates" than before, now it is a time to pay a ransom. Reaching unexpected end of the road of this approach.
