Can you pass the OneDayOnly tech test?

Hiring: Solved.

However I remember the brain teaser style interview being very popular with the Microsofts of the world back in the 90s, so how is this really different?
 
This is how recruiters should place adverts.

I've applied for AV jobs before and as I've never had experience selling, they pretty much decline me before seeing me. In the one event that I made it through, she was worried about my technical ability because they use fancy words like 'resolution' and 'nits.

I tried explaining that I read up HDMI, HDR, HDCP, sound formats, codecs in my spare time and I understand 'resolution' ... no success though.
 
Well, the company I work for receives a ton of CVs every month. First thing you do is write a technical test. Only if you score well are you invited for a face to face interview.

Had people here on Mybroadband actually complain about the test because they have no I telnet access when writing it and "walked out laughing" :rolleyes: and that is exactly the type of people these tests are supposed to filter out.

And it's not just us, when I was looking for work in 2010, 5 of the 7 interviews I did involved a test first, so not sure what makes this puzzle so special?

Same thing in construction. Some bimbo with a BA degree interviewing potential project managers... I swear, the only rating women are able to give candidates is "would I **** him", and then that opinion decides whether you progress further, under the guise of "fitting into the corporate culture".
