MyBroadband War Drive: Vodacom vs MTN vs Cell C vs Telkom

Nice article. mybb has been getting a lot of flak lately & this type of stuff is actually useful esp with the raw data posted. @rpm

VC does seem to be winning comfortably (two odd 0.2 uploads aside).
 
Also what time was this done? At night when congestion happens?
 
Definitely need more on the testing methodology.
 
Was the Telkom phone compatible with 2300MHz? In my tests Telkom's LTE in 2300 is much faster than on their reformed 1800 - maybe because they have more spectrum available in 2.3GHz?
 
Difference in average speed is not big. I don't think it is worth of the article. Variation figure would give better figure, but still not conclusive, as meassurements should be taken in the same time. On the quick look Vodacom is not a clear winner, but Telkom is definitely lagging in both average speed and consistency across sites.
