The mother of all programming languages is declining

Another pointless article, in the same vein as the rest of them posted throughout the year.

The language isn't in decline- how can you compare embedded development to UI/UX Enterprise application development paradigms? Every fool knows you cannot use C for that.

C remains relevant for low-level stuff, applications on banking terminals, machines, etc, etc, etc.. It will always be used there, for the foreseeable future.
 
No it's not.

This is what happens when Dev's think if they can install new lights on their car they can build cars. C is the language of choice for high performance and the closest to speaking straight to the hardware for any high level language. (I'm actually impressed assembly is on the rise though.) Why do they think game engines mostly use C++

your car:

Windows: C++, kernel is in C
MacOSX: Objective C, kernel is in C (IO PnP subsystem is Embedded C++)
Linux: Most things are in C, KDE is all C++

Microsoft office: C++

Unreal engine C++
Unity: C++, You code in C#

Yet C is dying?

They didn't say it isn't relevant anymore. They said it's popularity declined. It's still up there.

Guavas can now be chilled again.
