Cell_C: Please make B315s firmware update file available for download

In the thread I linked above. Most recently reported by Alictait, covered on the page 22 and 23. There were many reports few months ago when firmware 21.313 started to be pushed over OTA on the Cell C and Telkom network. See also in Telkom section.

Which B315s do you have? There are 3 variants on the B315s ( B315s-22, B315s-936 and B315s-607).

Thanks for reply. B315s-936 from Cell C of course. As far I remember correctly Cell C didn't sell other models.

Original firmware v21.313.03.00.1232
H/W version: WL1B310TM02, Web UI: 17.100.09.00.03
 
Huawei will not provide the software directly to Cell C for the B315s. We are making arrangements for them to put it on their website under support as one of the option.

Where are you based?

The Cell C approved hardware is the B315S-22 which has firmware version V. 21.311.05.00.368.

My B315s-936 was purchased end of October 2015 in Cell C headoffice near Woodmead, JHB.
 
New B315s-936, B315s-22 firmware is available from Huawei support:

The file 2017-01-10 | 43.37 MB, filename is indicating is the right one. Direct download link (if working): http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=93532&version=370475&siteCode=za

Interesting, this is firmware number 21.321.03.00.00, the last section is '00' - generic instead of '1232' - generic for South Africa (like all our routers from Cell C). If it accept flashing it should be fine.

There is a long list of fixes to the open source components: Linux kernel, Samba, Openssl, Portable UPnP, iptables, CUPS, WiFi. No changes to the features on the list, but Web searching brings something about added VPN.
 
Update: Firmware 21.321.03.00.00 is rejected, do not update.

Any progress? We are getting push notitication for upgrading to version 21.321.03.00.1232, still there is no alternative option.

There is 21.321 firmware file for "1232" routers, it is coming from the Huwei download servers (as claimed). You can download from this link: http://www.symbianize.com/showthread.php?t=1428585

One word. You might prefer to use the latest Telkom firmware "372" due to the frequency selection option. If you do, I do suggest to not upgrade now. It is easier to debrand firmware version 21.313 than the latest one. To debrand v21.321 firmware you would have to open router (means losing warranty).
