Can't afford taking a day off, if it really could make a difference I would have considered it but this is just farting into the wind. Nothing we as a country do will get rid of this parasite.

My 2 cents if the so called Top ANC guys wont change or do anything to show any form of mobilization.

you can protest all you want our zupta will not be removed no mater how much you burn or toyi toyi

My company is permitting staff to take the day off - with a provisor that they staff send the owner a selfie of themselves at the protest.
According to our HR guy (who is on some or another HR forum) at least 40 companies out of a network of 170 have already committed to giving staff paid time off for this. Others are considering.

oh look typical negative attitude, followed by thousands of white people.

"no one else is going to do it so I wont"

"it wont make a difference so I wont put in the effort"

but WE complain either way.

stop farting around, get off your behind, step away from your keyboard and fight for something you believe in you freaking entitled ****h canoe.

Not everyone works for a company that will just let them go frolic in the streets like a bunch of tree hugging hippies.

This is exactly my question Baxteen, I get off my behind, step away from my keyboard and fight for.........what? If Zuma goes, then what? Will Pravin be reinstated, will junk status be revoked?

Although I competent agree with you I keep asking myself if there is a better way to hit them hard.

Like what if everyone stopped paying their DSTV, Rates & Taxes, Telkom and other bills for a month in protest.

Would that not make for a much bigger impact than protesting?

Typical, just like the people who say the same thing about voting. Get off your ass and do something if you can! A million people like you can make all the difference. Individually you're a fart in the wind, but collectively we are the wind...

Maybe, maybe not. But you can play a part in stopping things from getting worse, and starting our recovery sooner...

Would be nice to have a list posted of all Major Cities that will be protesting on Friday.... where to congregate and what time?? To be posted on all platforms of Social media to get a definite response from the people of SA... Whatsapp message is not sufficient, I received one generalizing and not specifics... So are all South Africans going to unite and "Shut Down" on Friday country wide or not??

People have to work though. My employer would have a piss fit if I just did not come to work to go March. Why dont they do it on a Saturday rather?

One can hope that it works, but the damage has been done.

2015-16 protests in Brazil

Location(s):
Brazil — 160 cities in 26 states and the Federal District
Worldwide — 6 cities

Numbers: 4,857,000 - 15,025,000 depending on sources' estimates

Goals: Impeachment or resignation of Dilma Rousseff

Result: Impeachment of Dilma Rousseff

The objective is to disrupt the economy by shutting parts of the country down so the action can be felt.

So, is the aim to impeach Zuma?

EDIT: Just saw staggy's reply.

I will be marching. If my employer does not allow it, i will take a day off with annual leave

Yes, staggy, I understand what the objective is - what is the aim? Is it to impeach Zuma?
