pings okay, and trace route works ....
telkomsa.net works ......
Telkom.co.za goes no where .....

Not sure about that network outage as access to other Telkom sites works from PTA.

traceroutes only go to the publically exposed webcaches. Its from there onwards that its down.

Stupid company. I ran out of data this morning and couldn't reload by USSD either. Dialling *180# does nothing. No uber for me... :(
 
I am very worried about what is happening at Telkom. The calamitous nature of things that have been happening since FreeMe and their network policy changes implemented on 1 April leads me to think that they are no longer able to meet customer demand on their network resources. I think they are oversold.
 
You can't recharge whether through internet banking or USSD and it's been like this for many hours. Ransomware at Telkom?
