    Massive capacity boost for SEACOM

    SEACOM said it is lighting 500Gbps in new capacity on its backbone platform from Africa to Europe which came online in January 2017.

    Yeah, what's going on? I've just been told by my ISP that the international speed issues I'm experiencing are because SEACOM has some fault they need to fix. I'm getting an average of 5mbps on a 100mbps fibre line.

    You have a poor ISP that only relies on Seacom. They should use WACS/SAT3 etc.

    They'd be better off adding redundancy than more bandwidth. Africa's most unreliable backhaul
    Reliable ISP wanted
    Have money
    Will pay
