Apple removes VPN apps from Chinese app store

I don't think it's a bribe, more a case of "comply or gtfo of china" and lose access to a massive market.
That's still a bribe.

If Apple "cared" they would've made a scene, expose the dark side of communism, put out studies to show how idiotic it is, paint China in the black light it deserves.

Instead they will rather be part of the problem.

Last I checked Apple isn’t a political party.

It’s not their place to dictate this stuff.

A. Correct.
B. Did you ever heard of business people opposing the oppressive government? It worked in South Africa, right?

Even during apartheid big business carried on selling their products they never bothered about who was incharge since they are in business to make money irrespective of who is in power.

Yup this applies to anyone doing business there.

If you offer satellite services even you need to route all traffic via China government the moment you enter Chinese waters.

And it’s not just China either. This kind of stuff applies in a great many countries.

It’s no different than FPB bull**** we have to conform to here in SA. Or SARS regulations on digital purchases or ICASA approval etc.

True, they only oppose or appear to do so when they're forced. I mean companies buying blood diamonds until they got put on blast and realising doing nothing would affect their profits. If they can safely get away with it they'll profit.
