Cell C slashes out-of-bundle rates, extends data validity

Validity

<10GB - 30 days
>10GB - 90 days

Lowest OOB rate - 15c/mb

Compare the out of bundle rates against each other, please @jan

Cellc thinks we are stupid.... It was like this then 2 years back I believe they just changed it with their price increase. Now we are going back to how it was. What Cellc think we are going to praise them for it? Year on year increases no decreases just shifting the rules a bit and we are supposed to be happy.....

Think of it like this: You are buying, say, 30 days of access to the data network, with a cap of 100MB. You are not buying 100MB that "expires" after 30 days.

If you want only 100MB for use anytime forever, the price is the Out of Bundle rate (it doesn't therefore expire).

I don't know why people are so against companies making any kind of margin or profit on their products. Don't forget your pensions are all invested in these companies, so be careful if you destroy their profitability.

*woosh!*?

Because the price is different for different access periods.

Next you'll ask why your movie ticket only limits you to a certain time and day, you mos paid for it...

No. I have a problem with data which expires at any price. 500MB of data, i want to use it how I please and when I please. How is that the same to you?

One movie ticket for one movie at a certain time.

And if you don't go it expires.

Various data for various validity periods have different prices (1 day 1GB would be much cheaper than 1GB 365 days), so I asked you what price you paid, you're the one who brought up that you paid so now should have access forever, so now I enquire on the price you paid.

Why does it have different prices? Why not just a price per unit of data that only expires when it's depleted. I don't know how else to explain this to you.

The cost of data is ever decreasing as networks scale up. Just think of what 1GB of data cost 10 years ago vs today. Hence data you don't use till later but paid for today gets cheaper and cheaper for the network. Hence I also think data expiring is a stupid concept.

The same reason I'll be paying less at Numetro tonight because it's a Wednesday, specials.

The issue I have is that they do not have bundles in all sizes that last longer with a reasonable cost.

I see no correlation between your data/cinema comparison, but ok. Whatever. I still have a problem that data actually expires.
